www.dearZette.com is the net’s newest urban “advice” column…I’m your host Zette…and I’m so glad you’ve decided to join me on my journey.
So you might be asking yourself and your computer screen (some of us think aloud and that’s ok)…what makes THIS broad qualified to give “advice.” I’d love to say that it’s because I’ve had years and years of professional training in counseling and have tons of degrees and certifications to back me up…naw babe…no Dr. Zette here (although I do represent the University of Florida so hard…GO GATORS!)
I don’t call what I do giving advice. I think of it as me making observations and stating my opinion. It’s only advice if you act on it (please see the disclaimer section…lol). Seriously though, over the years, no matter how much or how little people think I know…I’m typically the “so what do you think” go-to person in most of my relationships. That status can be both a honor and a headache….depending on what day it is.
Over the years the “so what do you think” questions have evolved into dearZette notes on facebook and now a website. I firmly believe that you have to give the people what they want…and if my HONEST opinion is what you seek…that’s what I’m here to give.
We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll give the side eye, we may even disagree…but know that it is all done with a lot of love and a dash of my wonderific sense of humor, wit, and charm (I say that with all of the humility I can muster…lol).
At the end of the day I’m just a somewhat simple, Southern-reared, Jamerican broad in her late 20s tryna make the world a much more interesting place if not better.
